Job Board Posting

How LinkedIn Basic/Free Jobs and LinkedIn Promoted Jobs (aka Job Slots) work in JobScore

Updated 10 months ago

LinkedIn Job Posting Policy & Requirements

  • LinkedIn will only post Basic/Free Jobs for approved, paid JobScore accounts that are 30+ days old.  This policy is not unique to JobScore; it's true for all LinkedIn Talent Solutions Partners.

  • If you want your JobScore jobs to appear on LinkedIn in less than 30 days, you must purchase a paid job slots contract from LinkedIn and insert your job into a paid slot. (see instructions below).

  • All of your jobs must comply with LinkedIn's jobs policies and job listing guidelines.

JobScore can automatically send your jobs to LinkedIn and post them to your LinkedIn company page using an integration called Apply Connect.  Details about how to turn Apply Connect on and off are here.

When Apply Connect is activated for a job, it will appear on your LinkedIn company page as a basic/free job.

How to promote a JobScore Job into a LinkedIn Paid Job Slot

  1. Purchase one or more LinkedIn Job Slots

  2. Activate Apply Connect for your JobScore account

  3. Once you are a LinkedIn Job Slots customer, follow this guide to turn on "Job Wrapping" for your account, selecting JobScore as your ATS source.

  4. OPTIONAL: Create posting rules that determine which basic/free jobs will be automatically promoted (inserted) into your paid Job Slots.

  5. RECOMMENDED: Log in to LinkedIn Recruiter and find your basic job. Click the button to pin your basic job to make it a promoted job (to insert it into a paid job slot). LinkedIn's instructions on how to manually pin and unpin jobs is here.

If all of your job slots are filled, you'll either need to remove a job from a job slot or contact LinkedIn to purchase more job slots.

After you follow these steps, here's how things will work:

  1. When you open a job in JobScore, it will automatically appear as a Basic/Free job on LinkedIn on your LinkedIn company page.

  2. If you want to promote a job, you'll log into LinkedIn Recruiter, find the basic job, and pin it to a paid job slot.

  3. When you close or fill a job in JobScore, it will be removed from your paid slot, and you can pin another job to the slot whenever you like.
